Queen's Coll. Tuesday.
Do you remember that mathematical papyrus1
from Oxyrhyncus about the φερνουφι and the
πεσσευτηριον etc., of which we gave you a copy
and you very kindly made some suggestions ? We
are publishing it in O.P.III and should be very
grateful if you could tell us what it was
about. If you have not the text, we can send you
another copy. Do you know of any ancient astrological
almanacs ? We have rather an amusing
quote2 in the style of 'Old Moore'. Tebtunis will appear
in the second week of October.
Yours B.P.G.
1. Eventually published as P.Oxy. III 470.
2. Reference to P.Oxy. III 465
3. Fragment. This is presumably a reference to P.Tebt. II 274.
