Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of
July 14th, I have the honour to inform
you that Tebtunis Part I1 will
appear in October.^ (about the end probably) The volume has
reached the final stages of proof.
The edition ^ will consist of 1250 copies,
of which the Egypt Exploration
Fund takes 750 for distribution among
the subscribers to the Graeco-Roman
Branch. Of the other 500 copies
(which will be for sale at 45
shillings)2 I propose to send over

[begin page 2]

250 copies to Frowde's3 branch
publishing house at New York
(91 and 93 Fifth Avenue). Out of
these 250 120 will be sent to the
Library of the University of Cali-
fornia
in accordance with President
Wheeler's4 instructions, and a few
to the American press. The others
will be sold by Frowde's New York
branch. The other remaining 250
copies will be sold by Frowde sin
London, except about 35 copies which
will be required for review copies etc.
With regard to the financial side of

the publication, I have instructed
Mr Frowde to render his accounts
to Prof. Wheeler. On the copies
sold in England he proposes to
credit the University with 75 per
cent of the published price. On
the copies sold in America he
naturally requires a somewhat
greater discount, as there is the cost
of carriage ,etc; but he is fully prepared
to give the most favourable terms
possible. He wished to consult
the American branch5 first, and I
asked him to communicate with
President Wheeler when he had done so.

Of course if the University wishes for
more copies over in America, they can
be sent. But the division I have
suggested seems the best.
I enclose a couple of cuttings specimens of
announcements which have been circulated
in this country. Perhaps you wold like
to circulate the same in America.
Hoping that thisese arrangements
are satisfactory,

I am
Yours faithfully
Bernard P. Grenfell
