The enclosed2 was sent
me by a German who did not know
who you were. I sincerely trust
his suggestions come too late!
We are struggling with the
Hibeh3 literary pieces which are
in many cases very difficult to
decipher especially in this bad

light. The Homeric pieces differ
from the ordinary text enormously;
they seem to be of the πολύστιχος4
order.
