Hibèh, Feshn. April 7th.
We left the Fayum about a fortnight ago and came here
where there is a fine Ptolematic cemetery. Papyrus mummies are
fairly numerous , but the best tombs are nearly all plundered in
Roman times , and damp has made a good deal of havoc However
we have had some good finds. We are returning to Cairo in a
week's time and shall reach England on April 25th, so
you might send your remarks on the proofs1 about then. We shall
return to this site next year. Love to M. Tell him we shall produce
a volume from here in 1903. Au revoir

Yours ever
B.P.G.
