Griffith tells me that the official
ancient Egyptian cubit is always
7 not 6 παλαισταί . Hultsch seems
to be wrong about this . Here you got
the βασιλικὸς πῆχυς in P.P. and if so
was it 7 or 6 παλ? Have you seen Hultsch's
latest on Ptolemaic coinnage in the Ber. of the Sachs.
Akad? The poor old idiot still swallows all
Revillout's nonsense which he tries to combine with
the Tebtunis evidence to the hopeless confusion of the whole matter
